Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Multimodality Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. John. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of illness and injuries.
Responsibilities
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist, or Medical Sonographer.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
