Position: Associate Laboratory Technician – First Shift
Duration: 2 Years
Compensation: $19.85/hr on W2
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm (to be discussed)
Overview
The Associate Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in executing routine general chemistry evaluations and preparing samples according to established methodologies. This position also encompasses administrative support and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and monitor analytical sample requests.
- Engage with project managers to gather essential information.
- Coordinate testing activities with fellow analysts in the Analytical Section.
- Conduct routine chemical and physical assessments in-house.
- Oversee and maintain basic analytical instruments.
- Ensure the laboratory environment is safe and orderly.
- Document analytical findings with precision.
- Adhere to the company's Integrated Management System and all relevant policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education
Associate degree or B.S. in a Science-related discipline with one year of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma (or GED) accompanied by three years of related experience.
Preferred Skills
- Strong planning and organizational abilities.
- Capability to accurately execute analytical procedures and administrative tasks.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office).
