Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining the highest level of patient satisfaction.

• Collect blood and other specimens from patients using established protocols and techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate labeling of specimens.
• Process specimens for testing, including identifying, sorting, aliquoting, centrifuging, and labeling.
• Assure proper storage and retention of all specimens for their designated time.
• Communicate effectively with patients, guests, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

• High School diploma or equivalent required; post-high school diploma/degree preferred.
• Three (3) month training in phlebotomy required; previous experience or formal programs in phlebotomy may be considered.
• Able to use correct technique, policy, and protocol in collection and process of all specimens.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Data entry skills and ability to proof-read documents.
