**Job Summary**
Tulane University Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Assistant Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Sports Medicine's programs and services.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the development and implementation of sports medicine programs and services to support student-athletes and staff.
- Provide emergency management of athletic injuries and illnesses, including assessment, treatment, and referral to medical professionals as needed.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, coaches, athletes, parents, and peers to ensure seamless delivery of sports medicine services.
- Collaborate with the Department of Sports Medicine to exceed the contracting organization's needs while working independently.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local schools and organizations to ensure effective delivery of sports medicine services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in sports medicine to ensure the highest level of care for student-athletes.
**Requirements**
- Proficiency in emergency management of athletic injuries and illnesses.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including physicians, coaches, athletes, parents, and peers.
- NATABOC Certification.
- LSBME Licensure in Louisiana.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Prior experience as an Athletic Trainer is highly desirable.
