Rebar Fabricator

At New South Construction Supply, a Colony division, we are seeking a skilled Rebar Fabricator to join our team. As a Rebar Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the fabrication of steel reinforcement bar (rebar) through the use of a rebar shear line machine and bending machine.

• Assist shear operator or operate the shear line to cut and process rebar
• Feed the line with rebar bundles and break open bundles as needed
• Load trucks with packed orders in an organized and specified sequence
• Assist rebar bender and feed rebar bender with rebar cut from the shear line
• Moves completed orders to appropriate shipment locations
• Ensure the work environment is kept orderly, organized, and clean during production and at the end of the shift
• Communicate issues to supervisor for resolution
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school degree or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working with steel, rebar, or similar materials, or working in a warehouse or open yard environment
• Ability to safely lift and manage 50+ lbs
• Basic computer skills
