Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at HealthFlex Home Health & Hospice. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping patients regain their range of motion, manage their pain, and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • Review physician's referral and patient's condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
  • Communicate effectively with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians to ensure seamless care.
  • Test and measure patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
  • Administer treatments involving application of physical agents, using equipment, such as hydrotherapy tanks and whirlpool baths, moist pack, ultraviolet and infrared lamps and ultrasound machines.
  • Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Administer massage, and traction to relieve pain.
  • Record treatment, response, and progress in patients charts.
  • Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited PT program.
  • Current PT license in good standing.
  • One year of experience as PT in the healthcare setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
