The Elk Grove Unified School District is seeking a qualified Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher to join our team. As a CTE Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a secondary school setting, with a focus on career technical education.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and assess instructional programs that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
- Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to deliver instruction and assess student learning
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in CTE education
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional programs
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and industry partners to provide students with real-world learning experiences
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education or a related field
- Valid California Teaching Credential, with a Designated Subjects CTE Teaching Credential preferred
- Three to five years of recent industry experience in a relevant field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting
