Job Summary

MITRE is seeking a highly skilled Wargaming Engineer, Principal to lead multidisciplinary wargaming projects and design, develop, and employ simulation and game-based solutions to address operational, engineering, and acquisition challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead wargaming projects, including methodology definition, team selection, and execution planning, management, and product delivery
  • Work directly with sponsor senior leaders to define wargaming requirements and recommend appropriate wargaming methodology
  • Design and develop wargames across various domains, including tactical, operational, and strategic military and non-military domains
  • Lead, conduct, and participate in pre-exercise, execution, and post-execution activities for wargaming methodologies
Requirements
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 7 years and a master's degree; or a PhD with 4 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, social science, or related technical field
  • 5 years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas, including game design/development, web or computer-based game, or simulation development
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in engineering, social science, or related technical field
  • Experience with two or more roles: Game Director, Game Designer, Game Developer, Game Tool Developer, Game Analyst
  • 10+ years relevant work experience supporting government customers
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
