Key Responsibilities- Assist and support Professional Registered Nurses in all aspects of direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Provide high-quality patient care, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered care goals.
- Perform various tasks, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and capillary blood glucose monitoring, as delegated by the RN.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Respond to emergency situations, securing assistance and initiating basic life support as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- CNA certification or currently enrolled in a school of nursing with successful completion of basic clinical rotations.
- CPR - Basic Life Support recognition by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 90% correct on annual mandatory Health and Safety Training quizzes.
- Unit-based recognition for Capillary Blood Glucose Monitoring.
- Associate's degree or one year of college or nursing education or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting with a demonstrated ability to relate to patients, families, nursing, and medical staff.
