Job Summary

Triboro Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Wound Care Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality wound care services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wound Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough wound assessments on new admissions and provide individualized care plans to promote optimal wound healing.
  • Collaboration with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Education and Support: Provide education and support to residents and their families on wound care and management, promoting independence and empowerment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document resident wound progress and maintain up-to-date records, including monthly reports.
  • Infection Control and Prevention: Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols to protect residents and staff from infection and disease.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Current RN licensure and a degree in nursing.
  • Experience: Long-term care experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Solid computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
