Overview
This nursing professional is responsible for delivering patient care, coordinating health services, promoting wellness, and providing education on disease prevention and chronic care management.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe RN will engage in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, utilizing nursing expertise to assess and manage unscheduled patients, whether they present in person, via phone, or through secure messaging. Ensures that all documentation in the patient's medical record is accurate, comprehensive, and timely.
Employing the nursing process and evidence-based practices, the RN collaborates with healthcare teams, patients, and caregivers to develop individualized care plans that prioritize holistic health.
Additionally, the RN will:
- Triages patient concerns, categorizing acuity levels and facilitating appropriate interventions.
- Conducts various clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, immunizations, and assists with procedures as necessary.
- Encourages patient self-management and wellness, integrating critical thinking and customer service into all interactions.
- Supervises and mentors LVNs and C.N.As, and may assume charge nurse responsibilities.
The RN will work within various specialty clinics, including but not limited to:
- Allergy
- Dermatology
- Infectious Diseases
- Weight and Diabetes Management
This role requires collaboration with a diverse patient population, addressing complex health needs across multiple specialties.
