Job Summary:
Mercy General Hospital is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit. As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will work with patients recovering from neurological impairments, such as stroke, and provide comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage patients with neurological diagnoses, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient function and mobility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning for patients
- Provide education and training to patients and their families
- Work with a variety of patient conditions, including spine surgeries, poly-ortho trauma, and prolonged hospitalization/debility
Requirements:
- Current Physical Therapy license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- Experience in Acute Rehabilitation Level of Care (IRF) preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8-4:30, with 1 Saturday per month required. Holiday coverage may be required, unless prior arrangements are made.
