We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our Affordable Housing Team at Western Alliance Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing, structuring, and underwriting complex commercial loans in compliance with our lending policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Relationship Managers to develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring a timely credit process from start to finish.
- Interface with clients to assess their credit needs and determine the best structure and items needed for analysis.
- Gather and analyze necessary information to present a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee for approval.
- Coordinate the processing of approved loans, ensuring they are processed according to agreement, customer needs, and conform to Bank lending policies.
- Reinforce superior customer service through your own example and follow-through with involved customers and employees.
- Handle various other underwriting, portfolio management, and upkeep tasks related to new loan requests and existing Relationship Managers' portfolios.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from a 4-year college or university.
- 1-3 years of commercial underwriting experience at a financial institution.
- Exceptional credit knowledge and underwriting skills in commercial real estate lending.
- Advanced experience in financial statement and tax return analysis.
- Strong portfolio management skills, allowing for timely identification of credit concerns.
- Outstanding presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent ability to juggle multiple credit requests at once.
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial attitude, and an upbeat positive outlook.
