We are seeking a skilled Research & Development Lab Tech to join our team at Struktol Company of America. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to support daily project tasks, including configuration, setup, and execution of tests.
Key Responsibilities- Laboratory Operations: Perform routine lab functions including generating/testing samples, maintaining lab equipment, and cleaning the lab.
- Task Management: Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, cost-effective manner with minimal supervision.
- Data Management: Carry out various analyses, collect and evaluate data, and communicate results.
- Record Keeping: Maintain complete and accurate records, data books, and other required documentation.
Preferred candidates have chemical lab work experience, but it is not required. Knowledge of plastics processing and terminology is a plus.
Requirements and Qualifications- Education: High School Diploma/GED required; BS in Chemistry a plus.
- Chemical Lab Experience: Preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills required.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills required.
- Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, organized, and methodical mindset required.
- Multitasking: Ability to multitask required.
This role requires the ability to stand or walk for long extended periods of time, occasional lifting up to 55 pounds, and bending and twisting.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on location and experience.
