Job Overview

Corrigan Oil Co. is seeking a skilled CDL A Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting bulk fuels to gas stations and commercial locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a transport truck to deliver approximately 10,000 gallons of fuel per run.
  • Calculate the most efficient route for delivery to ensure timely and safe transportation.
  • Ensure the truck is loaded with the correct fuels for each drop location.
  • Deliver products in the correct quantities as instructed by dispatch.
  • Complete documentation, including bill of lading, inventory, pre and post trip reports, and fuel tickets.
  • Responsible for general maintenance of the truck, including checking oil and fuel levels.
  • Complete all pre-trip requirements before each truck run.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to customers at all times.
  • Communicate potential customer issues, such as complaints, spills, leaks, incidents, accidents, injuries, and vehicle issues.
  • Keep communication open with maintenance regarding any vehicle issues or needs.
  • Keep the truck clean and orderly at all times.
  • Inform dispatch and safety of any DOT fines, citations, or other relevant issues.
  • Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines, as well as employee handbook policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, good interpersonal skills, and ability to handle high levels of stress.
  • Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL class A license with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs of necessary equipment and physically load and unload trucks.
  • Experience driving in all types of weather conditions.
  • Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, 7-year criminal background check, and Clearinghouse query.
  • Acceptable driver's license and ability to pass a road test given by Corrigan.
