Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer occupational therapy services to patients of all ages, ensuring a high level of care and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in staff development and education programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Supervise and direct support personnel, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies.
  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on patient care and rehabilitation.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk without assistive device and maintain balance to support patients.
  • Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level.
  • Ability to lift and reach with arms to assist patients.
  • Visual acuity to observe patient movements and read monitors.
  • Ability to speak clearly and hear at a conversational level.
