Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Specialist to join our team in Harrisonburg, VA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our wastewater treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean key production areas at high risk for environmental contamination.
  • Operate Dissolved Air Filtration units, Screens, pumps, and water testing equipment in an efficient and workmanlike manner.
  • Use chemicals in a safe manner as established by the company.
  • Fully understand all chemicals in the plant, including their uses, handling, and safety protocols.
  • Fills out all documents for regulatory compliance after completing each task.
  • Report any malfunctions or non-compliance conditions to supervisor.
  • Operate forklifts as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Wastewater experience preferred.
  • Six months to one-year experience in wastewater operations desirable.
  • Ability to work alone and in close cooperation with production personnel.
  • Capable of working through complex problems alone or with others to provide logical solutions.
  • Required to read and follow rules for maintaining a sanitary plant.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position include the ability to walk and stand on a regular basis. Must climb stairs and ladders. The ability to reach, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull, and manipulate is frequently required. Must be able to lift full pails of washing solution, jugs of chemicals, equipment, or move bags of chemicals that could weigh 50 pounds and occasionally more.
