Role Summary: Our banking client is in search of a Mortgage Loan Originator to serve the Baton Rouge, LA market. This position is pivotal in facilitating real estate loans for both internal and external markets while ensuring top-notch customer service for new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Originate high-quality mortgage loans in alignment with the bank's established objectives.
- Cultivate strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and influential community members.
- Identify potential clients and meet with them to discuss various mortgage options tailored to their needs.
- Process mortgage loan applications, provide necessary disclosures, obtain credit reports, and complete all required documentation for a seamless loan closing.
- Maintain exemplary sales capabilities, negotiation skills, and comprehensive knowledge of the bank's mortgage offerings and services.
- Promote the bank's additional products and services.
- Develop and implement a business development strategy to enhance relationships and broaden your referral network for new business opportunities.
- Attend and engage in all Mortgage Originator meetings.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Candidate Profile: We are looking for individuals who are eager to take charge of their professional growth and seek a role that aligns with their interests and passions.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a four-year college degree is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of lending experience.
- Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines is essential.
- Ability to evaluate financial needs and work independently is crucial.
- Extensive knowledge of the mortgage sector, including products, lending practices, and regulatory standards.
- A robust local network of contacts to generate referrals.
- Self-motivated with the capability to organize activities to meet sales targets.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficient in PC applications, including mortgage origination and automated underwriting systems.
