The Procurement Specialist will serve as a product authority, collaborating with the Sales team and suppliers to fulfill customer requirements.

This position involves close coordination with suppliers regarding pricing, inventory levels, new product introductions, and alternative options.

Responsibilities:

Your Role Will Include:
Overseeing the creation and upkeep of all items for designated vendor lines

Ensuring effective communication with suppliers and the Sales team

Negotiating and addressing supplier performance challenges that affect costs and service quality.

Collaborating with Sales to understand customer needs

Utilizing existing tools and systems to analyze and respond to current inventory statuses and trends

Meeting in-stock service level targets, response times, and inventory deadlines

Enhancing KPIs related to out-of-stock items and inventory turnover

Assisting in defining and reporting on key performance indicators

Continuously monitoring demand forecasts for accuracy

Improving existing tools and methods to enhance forecasting and processes

Identifying, selecting, and procuring items that meet customer needs

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in purchasing and inventory/supply chain management

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

A collaborative mindset with the ability to foster effective relationships
