Key Responsibilities- Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' communication and swallowing needs, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Equipment and Procedure Competence: Demonstrate competence in the use of speech therapy equipment and procedures, and stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
- Modified Barium Swallow Studies: Perform Modified Barium Swallow studies to assess patients' swallowing function and develop treatment plans to address any identified deficits.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication with patients and families.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices, and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Speech/Language Pathology with a Master's degree and Certificate of Clinical Competency.
- Experience: 2 years of experience working with adults and children.
- Licensure: Rhode Island Speech Therapist license and CPR certification.
