Labor and Delivery Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as cesarean sections and postpartum hemorrhages, and respond to critical situations with confidence and composure.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Current DC License and C-EFM certification.
- 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
- Ability to work 36-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
