Critical Care Respiratory Therapist Opportunity at Cleveland Clinic

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of world-class healthcare.

As a critical care respiratory therapist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based clinical care to critically ill patients in our state-of-the-art facilities. This role requires a high level of expertise and proficiency in assessing, treating, and caring for patients with a wide range of lung diseases and respiratory disorders, including asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, COPD, and lung cancer.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in neonatal/pediatric critical care and possess advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NPS. Our caregivers value teamwork, active listening, collaboration, adaptability, critical thinking, accountability, and independent working.

The successful candidate will also possess good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range. They must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.

In this part-time position, you will work nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., every other weekend/holiday. The salary for this role is estimated to be around $65,000 per year, based on industry market averages and taking into account the skills and qualifications required.
