Role Overview:
General Summary:- Deliver patient care under the guidance of a licensed physician within the UMMS framework.- Execute professional tasks and technical procedures relevant to the specialty, including surgical assistance, suturing, and administering injections.- Participate in surgical operations and assist in making preliminary diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular assessments of pre- and post-operative patients to track recovery.
- Engage in rounds for inpatients and communicate findings to attending physicians.
- Order diagnostic tests and treatments, documenting progress in patient records.
- Support surgical procedures and engage in preoperative planning activities.
- Conduct patient interviews, perform comprehensive physical assessments, and manage medication administration.
