Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals on a travel assignment in the Memphis area. As a CT Technologist with Travel Nurse Across America, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and healthcare teams while enjoying the flexibility of travel assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging and Patient Care: Use computed tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues, ensuring accurate and high-quality images for medical interpretation.
  • Patient Preparation and Safety: Prepare and care for patients undergoing CT scanning, following safety procedures when working with radiation and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
  • Technical Skills: Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions, position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, and administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: AART National certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.
  • Skills: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, and possess a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
