Job Overview
Ascension Living is a nationally recognized non-profit senior living provider seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to lead our Skilled Nursing Home team in Lewiston, NY. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for managing activities, workflow, and nursing resources of assigned nursing units, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and developing policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this role is $72,758.40 - $120,057.60, with a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, various health insurance options, retirement benefits, long-term and short-term disability, employee assistance programs, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
Responsibilities
As a Nurse Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing activities, workflow, and nursing resources of assigned nursing units
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services
- Conducting hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff
- Identifying and resolving issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s)
- Assuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action as appropriate
- Monitoring and adhering to budget
- Approving or monitoring expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted; Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required
Additional Preferences
A RN with supervisory/management experience and Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Home experience is highly preferred.
