Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for external clients, while ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders regarding management, operations, key suppliers, and project participants.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, including scheduling all activities within the program, managing production timelines, monitoring tasks, and leading kickoff and status meetings.
  • Generate proposals and follow up as necessary.
  • Collaborate with clients and sales teams to develop Statements of Work (SOW) that outline deliverables, ensuring effective management and control of project scopes.
  • Handle customer modifications (ECN) and pursue change orders as needed.
  • Create Project Charters and assign responsibilities to key stakeholders.
  • Track work in progress and communicate updates, challenges, and status to customers, management, and staff as required.
  • Facilitate meetings with all stakeholders to convey project direction and status.
  • Work closely with clients, engineering, and production teams to address and resolve issues.
  • Engage with internal and external customers, managers, staff, and suppliers to swiftly resolve planning, engineering, manufacturing, and material/process challenges.
  • Develop comprehensive plans, budgets, and timelines for product completion.
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate project budgets, expenditures, and financial status indicators.
  • Lead cross-functional teams from product conception through development to full production.
  • Ensure that accurate documentation and specifications are created for new product designs and manufacturing processes, and that these documents are transferred to certifying agencies and relevant internal departments.
  • Maintain configuration control of all project documentation.
  • Support AS9100 procedures and initiatives for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Program Management, ideally within the Aerospace sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience in contract aerospace manufacturing, specifically in machining and assembly projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related field); a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Experience collaborating with the FAA, Aviation Safety, Aircraft Certification Service, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, and Local Aircraft Certification Office.
  • Familiarity with Aerospace process specifications and qualifications.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and team leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Project Management software.
  • Experience in understanding and adhering to customer specifications.
  • Self-motivated with a strong understanding of customer performance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Cargo Systems.
  • Prior experience in an AS9100 certified organization.
  • Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • PgMP or PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JIRA.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support projects.
