Job Summary:

West Texas Centers for MHMR is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program, you will play a vital role in providing speech language therapy services to children birth to 3 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in children birth to 3 years old
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech delays and/or communication disorders
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individual Family Services Plans (IFSPs)
  • Provide therapy services in the child's natural environment, including home and community settings
  • Engage and train parents on treatment strategies and techniques to support their child's development
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation, meeting Medicaid and state requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in pediatric speech therapy

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas license as a Speech Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow
  • Previous experience in pediatric clinical and home health settings (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
