Job Summary:
As a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse at Baptist Health, you will administer, supervise, teach, record, and evaluate professional nursing care given to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiovascular disease and medications, as well as the ability to operate and maintain complex cath lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist physicians during routine cardiac cath procedures, elective and emergency angioplasty procedures, and other advanced cardiovascular special procedures.
• Monitor adult and geriatric patients during procedures and administer care as needed or as directed by the physician.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, including video recorders, hemodynamic records, radiographic equipment, and digital imaging equipment.
• Provide nursing care during all cardiac cath procedures with technical accuracy and a thorough understanding of all procedures performed.

Requirements:
• Active Kentucky Nursing License.
• At least 2 years of experience in ICU, CCU, or cardiovascular nursing preferred.
• BCLS required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS will be required within six months for experienced staff nurses and within one year for new graduate nurses.
