Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our doctors and nurses to ensure the best possible outcomes. If you're passionate about animals, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Triage patients and assess their medical needs
- Record vital signs and assist doctors with diagnostics
- Complete treatments as instructed by the doctor
- Provide basic husbandry and nursing care
- Monitor patient changes and provide compassionate care
- Perform blood draws, place catheters, and assist with radiography
- Prepare samples for outside reference labs and run in-house labs
- Administer medications and prepare treatments
- Comfortable with computers and online tools
- Strong enough to lift 50 lbs
- Thoughtful and fearless team player
