Caregiver Specialist

Job Summary

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower people to live well and have a fulfilling career.

Key Responsibilities

• Transportation and support out in the community, including outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assist with daily living skills, including meal preparation, household cleaning, and medication administration.
• Provide guidance on developmental goals, such as community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities.
• Support individuals with living skills, including personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
• Work with a variety of needs, including developmental, behavioral, and mental health supports.

Requirements

• $18 per hour to start.
• High School Diploma, GED, or 5 years of caregiving experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• A reliable and responsible attitude.
