Upholsterer

We are seeking a skilled Upholster to join our team at Jackson Furniture Ind.

Job Summary:

The Upholster will be responsible for assembling and upholstering furniture pieces, including sofas, chairs, and other items. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and upholster furniture frames, including attaching spring assemblies and padding
• Place and secure upholstery material, using tack hammers or powered staple guns
• Shape and fit padding and upholstery to specifications
• Attach trimming material, such as gimp, braid, or binding, to upholstered frames
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in upholstery or framing highly preferred
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Attention to detail and high quality expectations
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisor(s)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
