Job Overview

The Evening Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the facility during the evening shift. This role involves following established cleaning protocols and may require direction from supervisory staff regarding specific housekeeping needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Uphold the mission and core values of the organization by demonstrating professionalism and respect at all times.
  2. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to health, safety, and patient confidentiality.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of hard and soft surface floors using standard cleaning methods.
  4. Implement a systematic cleaning process, including trash disposal, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  5. Restock essential supplies such as soap, towels, and other disposables as needed.
  6. Sanitize sinks, toilets, mirrors, and other fixtures according to established standards.
  7. Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the housekeeping storage area and equipment.
  8. Understand the chemicals used in cleaning and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
  9. Comply with Universal Precautions and use personal protective equipment as necessary.
  10. Secure cleaning carts and supplies to prevent unauthorized access.
  11. Deliver excellent customer service by greeting all individuals warmly and addressing their needs with care.
  12. Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with departmental dress standards.
  13. Observe punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled working hours.
  14. Follow safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization.

Qualifications

Education: Ability to read, write, and follow multi-step instructions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping is beneficial but not mandatory.
