Fitter-Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fitter-Welder to join our team at Argus Technical Services. As a Fitter-Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to welding and fabrication.

• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Read and comprehend welding instructions and structural drawings to ensure accurate and efficient work.
• Verify correct quantity and quality of parts welded, and layout stitch welds as required.
• Operate fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting purposes, and move material using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedure and safety regulations.
• Assist with the welding of weldments, and perform cleaning, assembly, and straightening operations as directed by supervision.
• May be required to perform various welding processes, including GMAW, Flux, and Sub Arc.

• A minimum of two years (2) experience as an open table Fitter.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Heavy manufacturing experience in a job shop environment a plus.

• Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane and forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
