Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing the sterile processing department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the preparation and distribution of medical equipment. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and improve processes to optimize efficiency and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead a team of sterile processing technicians and supervisors, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of quality and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sterile processing services and optimal patient care.
  • Analyze and improve processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management position.
  • Certification in sterile processing or a related field (e.g. CSPDT, CRCST, CSPDS).
