Job Responsibilities

Mental Health Specialist II (MHS II) work in our Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) programs, which provide highly specialized support to individuals with intensive, interfering behavioral and mental health needs. These programs have been modified to eliminate safety concerns and prioritize consistency and routine. Staff may be exposed to severe verbal aggression and will receive training for manual restraints. ABS programs utilize a person-centered approach to create a program that focuses on supporting individuals to reach their goals while considering the safety of the individual, staff, and the community.
