We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of insurance eligibility and benefits verification for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Insurance Eligibility Verification: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits of prospects/referrals and determine LHC rate requirements as it relates to in or out of network coverage on a daily basis in an accurate and timely manner.
- Patient Benefits Communication: Communicate patient benefits in a timely manner using the appropriate legacy system and associated software application as found in patient notes, tasks, workflow, etc.
- Documentation and Coordination: Document and forward patient deductible, out-of-pocket expense, life time maximum, home health or hospice days and patient responsibility to the agency.
- Authorization and Liaison: Obtain all authorization needed from payer for services ordered or requested, document specific details related to the authorization including effective and end dates, and serve as a liaison between the branch location and the payer on a regular basis.
- Work Assignment Management: Manage work assignment to ensure all tasks and coordination notes are completed.
- 1-2 years of insurance verification experience or experience working front desk in a doctor or hospital setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and other software applications.
