Clinical Responsibilities:
- Manage Level II nursery and well newborn nursery for Med-Peds trained physicians.
- Daily rounding, admissions, discharges.
- Vent management and intubation, central line placement, and thoracentesis.
- Schedule: 7 on/7 off schedule, 7 AM to 7 PM, with two 7 PM to 7 AM shifts every other week.
- ICU Coverage:
ICU managed by pulmonary critical care physicians from 8 AM to 5 PM; hospitalist team covers nights and weekends.
Team and Support:Team:
- Join an established team of 6 hospitalists.
Patient Volume:
- Anticipated patient volume is 15-20 patients per shift.
Support:
- Strong air and ground support to transfer patients to a Level I Trauma Center.
EMR System:
- System-wide integrated EMR-EPIC.
Certifications:
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Compensation and Benefits:
