Salary Information

$76,471 - $96,421 per year, depending on experience. Salary may vary based on location and other factors.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy in Radiologic positioning and exposure techniques, as well as knowledge about radiation protection and safety. The Radiologic Technologists prepare for and assist the physician in the completion of intricate Radiologic examinations. They prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with state, federal and hospital regulations. The Radiologic Technologists are the primary liaison between patients and departmental physicians and other members of the support team. They must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills. They maintain confidentiality of all patient care information to assure that patient's rights are protected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships both inter- and intra-departmentally; to foster good customer relations and to observe the Skyline Medical Center mission statement.
  • Graduation from an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT R.T. (R)(denotes successful completion of the ARRT certification examination) or registry eligible.
  • Must be registry eligible and obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date, if not obtained termination will occur.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
