Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
- Therapy Sessions: Provide high-quality therapy sessions to students, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote effective communication skills.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' needs and ensure seamless communication.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans.
- IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to student education plans.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Licensure: Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
