We are seeking a highly skilled Peri-Operative Education Nurse to join our team at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Surgical Services department, you will be responsible for providing education and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement patient education programs to ensure patients receive accurate and timely information about their surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and education.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide education to patients and their families on surgical procedures, anesthesia, and post-operative care.
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete records of patient education and care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and education.
- Current Minnesota RN license.
- Two to three years of experience in direct patient care, preferably in surgical services or a related field.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- General computer skills in EMR, Word, Outlook, or similar applications.
