Job Summary

Penske Transportation Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, including Carrier and Thermo King commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Test and diagnose issues with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret complex schematics and technical documentation.
  • Identify and document warrantable repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Conduct road tests to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, including pneumatic wrenches, lathes, and welding equipment.
  • Provide support for preventative maintenance and tractor trailer maintenance as needed.
  • Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
