Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate DCF Navigator/Child Protective Investigator to join our team at IMCS Group. As a key member of our child welfare team, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations of child abuse and neglect cases, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine the best course of action.
  • Develop and implement safety plans to protect children from harm, working closely with families, social services, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and legal entities to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Document case findings and maintain accurate records, adhering to state regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to families, connecting them with resources and services to promote stability and well-being.
  • Monitor ongoing cases, ensuring compliance with child welfare plans and making adjustments as needed.
  • Testify in court as necessary, presenting case details and recommendations to ensure justice is served.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in foster care, adoption, or pediatric case management, with a strong understanding of child welfare laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handling sensitive and complex situations with compassion and professionalism.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for fieldwork, as needed.
