Position Overview: Surgical Services Registered Nurse-Circulator
The Surgical Services Registered Nurse-Circulator plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care and overseeing the activities of other nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and support personnel, in alignment with state regulations. This role involves assessing patient requirements, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating the outcomes of the provided care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs and conditions.
- Formulate and execute comprehensive patient care strategies.
- Monitor and appraise the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Georgia Registered Nurse License or a Multistate Nursing License.
- Current Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification.
Desirable Qualifications:
- ACLS certification required within six months for specific departments.
- NRP certification required within six months for Nursery and Labor & Delivery.
- PALS certification required within one year for Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Additional qualifications as outlined in the Nursing Clinical Ladder Policy.
