Faculty Member

We are seeking a highly qualified Faculty Member to join our team at Johnson & Wales University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching neurological physical therapy content to students within our Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach neurological physical therapy content to students within the program
- Assess student's mastery of neurological content throughout the curriculum
- Ensure that the curriculum's neurologic content is contemporary and evidence-based
- Collect, prepare, and furnish data and relevant information about the neurological content within the curriculum to the Program Director
- Earned terminal degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., Ed.D. or equivalent) from a regionally accredited institution or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree with a specialist certification from The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS)/board certification
- Clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist
- Active RI physical therapy license or eligibility to obtain such licensure
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Three or more years of clinical experience
- Entry-level physical therapy education teaching experience
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with numerous projects/tasks with little or no supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment and promote collaboration
- Willingness to model core values and take an active role in enforcing program, college, and university policies
- Ability to effectively interact with university support services
