The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute is a leader in patient care and research. We are seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our team in the Corrections Healthcare Unit.

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for managing and providing care to patients and their families, as well as directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. This role requires strong assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, delegation, and evaluation skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to achieve desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure quality care delivery
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program
  • A valid Ohio license or interim permit
  • Experience in relevant care settings (preferable)
