Job Overview

Heritage University is seeking a qualified Teacher Preparation Program Facilitator to join our College of Education. This role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate-level students pursuing their teacher certificate, with a primary focus on BLE/ELL oriented teacher preparation courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in the Teacher Preparation program, emphasizing degree requirements, academic success strategies, and career possibilities.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluation methods for the Teacher Preparation program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on scholarly and professional pursuits, including research and grant writing.
  • Evaluate and grade student coursework, assignments, papers, and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required documents, utilizing Heritage University's learning management system effectively.
  • Participate in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities, ensuring seamless transitions for new students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree preferred; ABD may be accepted with a specific completion date set.
  • Successful teaching experience (K-12) and expertise in curriculum and instruction, particularly in BLE/ELL.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and develop teachers for culturally diverse settings.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to integrate technology into instruction and assessment.
  • Initiative, commitment, adaptability, and sensitivity to program and candidate needs.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $63,131, based on market data and industry standards. The compensation package includes health benefits, life insurance, unpaid time off, 21 paid holidays, and a matching 403(b) contribution after one year of service. Additional plans are available for purchase, including AFLAC and additional life & ADD insurance.
