Competitive Salary
We offer a competitive base salary of $145,000 per year, paid bi-weekly. This salary will be based on several variables, including geographic location, work experience, education, and others.
About the Job
This is a senior software architect position within the CASE Digital Services team at American Honda Motor Co. The successful candidate will contribute directly to Honda's Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric (CASE) goals by leading software coding design and verification testing of in-vehicle digital services. They will review and approve the results of others, utilizing their past experience to develop innovative solutions to highly complex technical challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading software architecture design according to Automotive SPICE SWE.2 using software architecture modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect.
- Developing strategies for creating optimized software architecture based on software element requirements.
- Producing detailed software unit interfaces and dynamic signal algorithms, resulting in individual software units that meet AUTOSAR Adaptive requirements and all other software coding guidelines.
- Verifying software unit compliance with software detailed design requirements and non-functional requirements.
- Combining individual software units into a complete integrated software and verifying it against software architectural design requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. Experience in one or more coding languages, preferably a C++-based language, is also required. Additional skills include creating design concepts and related software specifications, using LINUX/UNIX based operating systems, and working with a software development toolchain similar to Atlassian DevOps environment.

Overtime Policy
Overtime is expected in moderate amounts to meet deadlines. Remote work up to 100% may be available based on business conditions. On-site vehicle testing may be required periodically to perform product verifications. Frequency and duration will vary based on project change points and timing within each assigned project's lifecycle.
