  • Provide critical cost data to support Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) processes while ensuring historical accuracy.
  • Engage in regular discussions with project leads and engineers to improve forecasting precision.
  • Evaluate contractor performance, productivity, and claims to ensure accountability.
  • Implement effective cost control practices to deliver insightful business reports.
  • Participate in reviews of cost and schedule assurance to maintain project integrity.
  • Analyze benchmark data to inform cost control strategies.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development in cost control methodologies.
  • Oversee the change control process to manage project adjustments effectively.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and monitor trends for monthly evaluations.
Essential Skills and Knowledge

Qualifications/Experience:
  • A minimum of 10-15 years in cost management, ideally within the energy sector.
  • A degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and numerical proficiency.
  • Experience on-site is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of cost control principles and management practices.
  • Proficient in project management software and financial analysis tools; familiarity with Unifier is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex financial information clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of processes within the energy industry.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) or equivalent is preferred.
