Job Summary

Vocational Vistas Incorporated is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Counselor to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Counselor, you will work with injured workers, employers, and healthcare providers to facilitate a smooth return to work process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs and abilities of injured workers to develop personalized return-to-work plans.
  • Collaborate with employers to identify job modifications and accommodations to support injured workers' safe return to work.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely medical information.
  • Develop and implement retraining programs to enhance injured workers' skills and employability.
  • Track progress and maintain accurate records of communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Credentialed Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) or Credentialed Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or related field.
  • Experience working with injured workers and employers in a vocational rehabilitation setting.
