Job Title: Automotive Technician

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting repairs, assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of standard automotive systems and machinery.
  • Utilizing tools to cut, thread, bend, couple, and secure conduits.
  • Measuring and cutting wires and conduits to appropriate lengths.
  • Installing, repairing, or replacing components such as switch boxes, bulbs, plugs, sockets, fuses, and extension cords.
  • Dismantling motors, generators, and various equipment for repair processes.
  • Diagnosing electrical issues, inspecting circuits and wiring for proper shielding and grounding, and testing equipment for safety and performance.
  • Repairing and installing electronic components and programmable logic controllers within machinery.
  • Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents, while employing electrical hand tools and measuring devices.
  • May involve creating wiring diagrams as necessary.
  • Potentially includes the upkeep of electronic or solid-state controls with interdependent circuits.
